Alamelu has achieved her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (2017) at Technical University Munich and completed her M.Sc. in Chemical Biotechnology (2023) at Technical University Munich, Campus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability. Her scientific research covers in construction chemistry and synthetic biotechnology. During her Bachelor Thesis, she worked on gas-solid and fluid-solid fluidization systems with computational Fluid Dynamics by Eulerian Lagrangian modelling. As for her Master Thesis it focused on Systems Biology and Engineering for the Microbial Production of Oleochemicals.  She recently started her doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rubén D. Costa in the Chair of Biogenic Functional Materials. The research is on development of sustainable light-emitting electrochemical cells.
