New paper out on Advanced Materials!
New paper out on Advanced Materials!
Check out Marta’s and Mattia’s latest contribution “Genetically encoded oligomerization for protein-based lighting devices” ……

We are on The Inside Front Cover!
Thanks to a fruitful intercontinental collaboration between our laboratories, Albrecht`s lab (Japan), and Apllied Nanolayers B.V. (The Netherlands) we have achieved a significant milestone in the development of light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs). In our recent article …..

A new paper about the ligand design for Cu(I) complexes for LECs is out now
Have a look to Ginevra’s and Luca’s last contribution “Design Rule Hidden from The Eye in S/N-Bridged Ancillary Ligands for Copper(I) Complexes Applied to Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells” on Advanced Functional Materials. Hidden parameters to take in account for the ligand design of Cu(I) complexes applied to highly-performing LECs have been discovered.

Sophia attended the ISPPCC in Ulm
Last week, Sophia attended the ISPPCC in Ulm and presented her latest results about her silver(I) based red-light emitting electrochemical cells in a poster. She also gave a talk in the pre-conference, ySPPCC – a symposium for PhD students and early stage researchers.

Feedback Career Talk: The relevance of a Habilitation
Rubén participated in the “Feedback Career Talk: The relevance of a Habilitation” organized by the Andrea Schramm at Helmholtz Zentrum München. It was a nice experience to explain what means Habilitation in Germany and outside, how you can be successful to reach your next steps in academia/industry, and why it is a great time of your research path.

EuroTech Universities Summer Reception in Brussels
Sara, Marco, and Marta just took part to the EuroTech Universities Summer Reception in Brussels, where several projects from EuroTech Universities brought their demonstrators. We are happy that the audience showed a great interest towards ARTIBLED (FET-Pathfinder) and InOutBioLight (ERC-Co) Bio-based LEDs! The exposition has been now moved to the European Commission, where it will be displayed until next Friday the 30th of June 2023.

TUM Green Day Taks
Olivia and Anna presented their research topics at the TUM Green Day to international master students. Olivia explained them our research topics in Photovoltaic and Lighting devices and an overview about her ELAFID MSCA project, while Anna discussed application of fluorescent proteins in technologies and an overview of her HeatBLED MSCA project. Overall it was a refreshing and innovative atmosphere with interested students around the world. Thanks for visiting us!!!

Open Door Day with the Chair of Biogenic Functional Materials
Last Sunday, TUMCS had its “Open Door Day”. Alex, Anna, Fabi, Gabriel, Juan Pablo, Luca, Sara and Sophia enjoyed hosting our “hands on science” stand, where both adults and children could learn about our research advances in ARTIBLED, StiBNite, Heat-BLED, InOutBioLight European projects!!

MSCA successful!
Recently we got the great news that the Nesibe’s MSCA fellowship was granted. However, we are all scientists, but overall we are persons with all our circumstances around. After a successful period in the chair, Nesibe decided to get back home and we all heartily wish her all the best for the future!. Take care and see you soon around.
