Vita
Sara Ferrara got her B.Sc in Chemistry and Chemical Technologies in 2017 from University of Turin (Italy). She got her M.Sc in Industrial Chemistry from the same university with a thesis concerning the synthesis and application of new squaraine dyes bearing barbituric acid for Dye Sensitized Solar Cells, under the supervision of Prof. Claudia Barolo at the University of Turin and Prof. Rubén D. Costa at IMDEA Materials, Getafe, Spain. After the graduation, she started her PhD in IMDEA Materials under the supervision of Prof. Rubén D. Costa. She is now attending her PhD studies at the Technical University of Munich, being involved in the European project ARTIBLED. Her interest is focused on the application of Artificial Fluorescent Proteins as colour in down converting materials for white LEDs. The main aim is the production of highly stable and efficient bio-inspired and fully biogenic phosphors.
